AT long last kinengo did it


 Today the residents of kyome Thaana ward in mwingi west constituency had a special occasion in the assembly after by-election for the MCA seat, our elect MCA Hon. Alphonse Mukwayu Musyimi today was sworn in under the wiper fraternity.... congratulations HON. He was an ex kdf officer where he worked as a pilot.

the now-official MCA for kyome thaana was elected after the postponed general election in the area due to the demise of one of the candidates. the guy who seemed to be the stiff competitor of the other candidates died hours after his clearance on his way back to Nairobi in a road accident.

Mukwayu as the majority of people knows him won the stiff election in the ward which was like the battle of the titans. The current governor of kitui JM. Malombe had to down his gumboots and visit the area severally to ensure they brought this seat home to the wiper party. The IEBC declared Mukwayu the winner of the election after garnering 2365 votes followed by an Independent candidate Joyce David  1495 votes then the UDA candidate came a distant third with 784 votes. The race had attracted more than 10 candidates with the rest of the candidates garnering less than 780 votes.
