No escape route for you Governor


 Kitui county governor Julius makau malombe has been  found himself with the wrong side of the law. According to report released by the chief opposition Leader in the Assembly. The governor has failed to discharge his duties in the appointment of the CEMs after they were approved by the assembly back 21st Dec 2022. The period stipulated by the constitution for the appointment is 7 days which has elapsed long ago . In his handle Nganga claimed "*GOVERNOR MALOMBE AT IT AGAIN

*On 21st December, 2022  the County Assembly of Kitui approved for appointment nine out of ten persons nominated by Governor Julius Malombe to serve as Members of the Kitui County Executive Committee. Subsequently the Governor was on the same day notified of the Assembly decision.This came against backdrop of concerns raised by Kitui County Assembly Minority Leader Hon Alex Nganga who cited breach of section 42 (2) of the County Government Act while the nominations were done*

According to Public Appointments ( County  Assemblies Approval  Act) No.5 of 2017 section 11 (2) the Governor is supposed to appoint those approved within seven days, a period that has since lapsed. In another episode of ego versus the law Governor Malombe has acted in breach of this Act

The appointment of the CECMs if done now becomes opaque, blatantly against the law and an upfront to our Constitution.There shall always be consequences for not respecting the law."

However his sentiments have drawn attention from kituians of different professions  coming up with different opinions .some claim that it's the Vocal MCa trying to black mail the governor for his personal gain . Some have urged him to stop his unwarranted ways and support the governor to achieve his development agenta to the people of Kitui county.

This is after the approval of the education task force recommendations to the president.
