WHY UHURUS SECURITY HAS BEEN DOWN SCALED

 


The inspector general of police Japheth Koome has this morning defended his act of recalling the GSU officers attached to the former president Uhuru Kenyattta and His family.

On Yesterday evening news regarding the withdrawal of the officers from the office of former president emerged online. According to sources not only the former presidents security but also that  of other leaders.

While confirming the reports officially, Koome has claimed that the former president does not need to have the same security detail like the current president hence need to scale them down. Koome stated that as the clearly indicates when one ceases to be an office holder his security details has to be revealed and hence he had to carry the same to thee retired president .



Other officers who served with Uhuru in different capacities have also experienced the security downgrading including former super CS Dr Fred Matiangi and Kibicho.

The move by the IG has been viewed as a politically inclined. This is after one of the close ally of the siting president on a rally complained of Uhurus finger in financing the oppositions move to destabilize the government. Many allies to the sitting president claim that uhuru who was appointed as a peace envoy by the sitting president has been a key opposition financier instead of quitting the politics and concentrate on his state job. 

Koome has urged the public to disassociate the move with politics as he claims that he will work independently to ensure the law is followed to the latter. Koome was responding to the press on why he chose to make the changes when the countrys political tension is on rise.

let it be remembered that at one point when the two were running the government Uhuru withdrew Rutos security detail.
